Whether you've attended church your entire life or never been at all, we know it’s not easy visiting a church for the first time. You’re not quite sure what to expect and you probably have a lot of questions. We at Northminster want to give you the best experience possible.

Here’s some information that should help:

WHEN IS THE SERVICE?

We have one service that meets at 10:00am on Sunday mornings.

HOW DO I GET THERE?

Northminster is located at 4324 Clairemont Mesa Blvd. in the Clairemont community of San Diego.  We are located between Genesee Ave. and Clairemont Dr. right next to the O’Reilly Auto Parts store. 

OUR SERVICE:

Welcome, please join us for a cup of coffee and a donut before or after the service. Each service is about 60 minutes.  During the first 10 minutes of the service you'll get to enjoy some contemporary worship music led by a Worship leader or Worship Band. 

After songs and a prayer, we’ll have a few moments to say hi to the folks around us.  One of our leaders will then welcome everyone and mention a couple announcements.  After that, we’ll invite the kids who are in Preschool-6th grade to come up for a prayer together and then send them out with their Sunday School teachers who will take them to class for the rest of the service. 

After the kids go to their classes, we usually sing one more song, receive the offering, and then the sermon for the day. Each message/sermon is about 30 minutes long. Conveying the Word of God in a way that is relatable to all ages and inspires and challenges you to grow spiritually.

We offer Communion on the first Sunday of the month.  Communion takes place immediately following the sermon.  Sunday School children will come back into the service for Communion.  Including our kids in Communion--is important to us. On the second Sunday of the month we have Family Fun Sunday- After the service join us for Second Sunday Cafe. We also have a bounce house for the children. Please join us for a meal and fellowship.

WHAT ABOUT MY KIDS?

We are delighted to have you and your children with us.

Children from 3 years to 6th graders will join their parents during the first fifteen minutes of the church service.  This is a meaningful opportunity for them to participate in the church service: singing the songs and getting to know other grown-ups in their church!  It also lets them know they’re just as much a part of our community as the grown-ups.  About fifteen minutes into the service, the children will be invited to meet their teacher in the back of the sanctuary/worship center and take them directly to their classes where our team of trained volunteers create a fun, safe, interactive and loving environment. If you’d like to accompany your son or daughter to their class and then come back to the worship service, please feel free to do so. Your child will want to come back every week!

Infants - Toddler - At this time, infants and toddlers are welcome to stay with the family in the pews, or are welcome to sit in the library area seats.
