Tyler Moyers has selected NPC church and preschool for his Eagle Scout community service projects! He will be building:

  • A new cabinet in the Church's Youth Room to organize the Sunday school supplies and make it less cluttered.

  • A new bench for the preschool 2-year-old students to sit on when waiting for their parents to pick them up; currently the kids sit on little plastic chairs that can tip over. A bench is a much safer option.

Sunday Service Volunteer Opportunities!

Now that we are open, NPC is in need of volunteers to help with the Sunday services once again. In the past NPC has had greeters, persons to help with collection of offerings, scripture readers and person’s to do the prayer in our 10am service.

A schedule would be created with dates you feel you could help, and reminder emails would be sent out. If something below sounds interesting, please reach out to the office.

In-person classroom Sunday School will start on Sunday!

Come one, come all....in-person classroom Sunday School will start on Sunday, June 20th, 10:00 am Looking forward to being with your children again. Ms Lynn's Bible verse for the day will be Matthew 19: 13-15, o'Allow the children to come to me," Jesus said, "Don't forbid them, because the kingdom of heaven belongs to people like these children."

Sunday School staff will adhere to Covid guidelines in the classroom, so please have your child wear a mask. Bring your child into the sanctuary with you and the children will be dismissed before the sermon. The teacher will escort the children to the Youth room. Lessons include a story, a small craft and other interactive activities. Pick up your child from the Youth room after the service.

It's wonderful to be able to have the children back in Sunday School.

Pentecost Sunday, May 23, 2021

  • 40% of donations remain at Northminster

  • 60% will go to support youth/children's special ministries of the Presbyterian Church General Assembly and San Diego Presbytery.

Colorful red-and-white banks for this offering are available in the

Easter Lilies

Easter Lily.jpg

Easter is just a few weeks away!

This year we hope to brighten up the sanctuary with lots of Easter Lilies and we invite you to help by purchasing a lily and dropping it off to the church office by Wed, March 31 (8-noon) You may also include a note of dedication and we will make sure it is published by Easter Sunday.

If you want to provide a lily but cannot shop for it yourself, our deacons will be happy to purchase one for you. Just send $10 to the church office, along with your note of dedication, by Friday, March 26. We will make sure your lily will be included in our Easter Sunday decorations.

We are thrilled to offer our Easter Sunday service in person and on Zoom again this year and we hope you will help us make it a morning of real celebration!

Lent Daily Devotional

Our 2021 Lent Daily Devotional comes from Presbyterians Today and is called, “The Way to Shalom A Lenten Journey to Peace and Wholeness.” Join us online beginning on Wednesday, February 17th until Easter from 8 - 8:15 am as we read together the daily devotion. The words will be displayed on the screen during the devotional session each day and/or you can following along with your own copy which can be downloaded here. We will be using the same zoom number as we used for daily Proverbs readings. (Contact the office if you do not have this information.) We hope you will be able to join us!

Lent News

Lent is a period of 40 days, (not including Sundays) when we reflect on the events leading up to the death of Jesus. This year Lent begins on Feb 17, Ash Wednesday.

We will have a special Ash Wednesday service in person and on Zoom, at noon on February 17th. (about 40 minutes). It will include a celebration of the imposition of ashes. Since this service will also be done virtually, we have prepared small packets of ashes that you can use to participate in this reverent celebration in your own home. You may pick them up at the church office or we will be happy to deliver them to you. Just let Linda in the office know your preference.

If you do not wish to attend the service in person, we encourage you to set aside a sacred space in your home as a place of reflection throughout this holy season. The space could be a simple shelf or small table with the ashes and perhaps a candle, the Bible, and a list of prayer concerns for daily consideration, anything that reminds you to take a moment to consider the astonishing depth of love Christ has for you.

We will resume our 8am devotional time on Wednesday 17th, which will meet daily (except Sunday’s) until Easter.
